Prayer of Protection for the Day

We do not know what the day holds, but we can begin it under God’s protection. A morning prayer changes the way we face everything ahead.
Before leaving home, take a minute to hand your day over to the Lord.
Today's word“The Lord will keep you from all harm.”Psalm 121:7
The prayer
Lord, as I begin this day, I place my life under Your protection. Cover me with Your hand, guard my going out and my coming in, and deliver me from all danger, accident and evil.
Go before me opening paths and place Your angels around me. Guard my family, my work and everything that is mine.
I rest secure, knowing that You are my refuge and my strength. Amen.
A word of reflection
Walking protected does not mean facing no difficulties, but crossing them knowing we are not alone. God walks beside us all the time.
Carry this certainty with you today: you are covered by the hand of the Lord.
