Prayer to Calm Anxiety
Published on July 17, 2026
Anxiety steals the present by making us live worried about a future that has not even arrived. It weighs on the chest, takes away sleep and tires the mind.
If your heart is tight today, know that God invites you to rest in Him. Pray this slowly, breathing deeply.
Today's word“Do not be anxious about anything...”Philippians 4:6-7
The prayer
Lord, my heart is restless and my mind is full of worries. I hand over to You everything that troubles me, because on my own I cannot carry it.
Calm my anxiety, quiet my thoughts, and fill me with Your peace, the one that surpasses all understanding. Help me to trust that You are in control.
I breathe deeply and rest in You. Where there was fear, I now receive Your peace. Amen.
A word of reflection
Trusting God does not make problems disappear, but it removes the weight of carrying them alone. One step at a time, one day at a time.
When worry returns, breathe and remember: you are not in control of everything, but God is.
